It all started when...

Cynthia Andela, a mechanical engineer, manufacturer of recycling equipment, and owner of Andela Products, and Jonathan Gross, a deconstruction contractor, met at a symposium in 2012.  Both were in the recycling business and being entrepreneurs, quickly found common interest in a process for coating recycled glass with a special pigmenting process.  A partnership formed, a factory in upstate New York was built and Ruby Lake Glass was born!  The colored glass crystals produced in Utica, NY had many uses and with growing interest in bike and pedestrian safety, Ruby Lake color coated glass aggregate quickly became a recognized national brand.  Green, repurposed, friction based, durable, and with color that lasts; Ruby Lake is now an industry leader in the field of colored surface demarcation.
